Mac concert & CD
by Judy Rankin from Salem, OR on October 04, 2011
How can any one not enjoy Mac's commentary and true life music!? I first heard him at the Oct 2010 concert in Portland, OR at a Jimmy Buffett concert. But the BEST was in Aug to see and hear him in person at a one-man concert! He has instant rapport with the audience as his stories bring life to his music. I've enjoyed "Down by the River' CD so much ... I think I'm wearing it down! I'm sure I'm going to enjoy his newest CD. Sorry it's taken me so long to finally find a very talented musician ...
We can't wait to get the CD!

Pre-ordered the CD.
by Mike from Northwest Arkansas on September 28, 2011
I have listened to Mac for over 20 years. "It's a Crazy World" was covered by Steve Wariner and I learned it as soon as I could. I saw the songwriter(Mac) and I have bought every single album Mac has offered to us. He is amazing. He's earned and deserves twice the recognition he gets!
Mac As Performer
by Scott Beall from Memphis on September 26, 2011
I know this may sound corny but for those of you who are true Mac fans, I know you will understand what I am about to say. When I describe Mac to people that have never heard his songs and story telling and unbelievable guitar talent, I describe their music life will soon be divided into "life before Mac" and "life after Mac." I have never heard anyone who captures the tender moments of life as well as Mac. Can't wait to hear another album.
Mac Live
by Colin from New Orleans, LA on September 22, 2011
This isn't really a review of the new live CD, because I haven't heard it yet. But it's been ordered! A quick story - in 1978, I taped a live concert on my Pioneer reel-to-reel deck being broadcast on WNOE-FM in New Orleans. This particular night the performer was an 18-year-old guy named Mac McAnally from Belmont, MS, making his first trip to the "big city". Anyway, I had never heard of Mac, but I instantly became a fan that night and have remained so all these years. Now he is a regular in ...
Add this one to your collection!
by Rick from North Carolina on September 22, 2011
Mac is the greatest modern day storyteller and the last man standing! Thanks Mac!
What a great show!
by Parke Cochran from Florence, AL on September 22, 2011
If this CD is half as good as that night was in Norton Auditorium, it will be PERFECT. That night, we enjoyed an evening with one of the music industry's greatest talents, and now we will have the chance to hear it over and over again. With the help of a few friends, Mac provided a wonderful escape into the mind of a songwriter, and in typical fashion, made the audience feel like they were a part of something special. Kudos Mac (and crew), you make your hometown proud!
